I visited the Kingston store last week to buy a fujifilm camera for my daughter. The website said there was 6 pink ones in stock however when I arrived there was none in stock which was extremely frustrating. It was hard to find a member of staff and after speaking to a manager they only offered me a car park voucher. I understand that mistakes can happen but they weren’t particularly helpful. And I went and purchased elsewhere.
I placed an order for some aftershave for a present and it never arrived. Trying to contact customer services was a complete nightmare. Could never get through, online chat was the same. When I did get through they said they couldn’t refund as courier hadn’t updated the status even though John Lewis said the parcel was lost!
Eventually got my money back about 4 weeks later. Customer Services not great!
I've had nothing but great experiences with John Lewis. I particularly love their easy click and collect process - You don't even need to go to one of their stores (especially handy now that there are sadly less of them), I pick my parcels up (usually next day) from my local Waitrose which is handy!
Have used the price match policy in the past with zero hassle and if you have an issue or need to return something the partners that you interact with in person or on the phone have in my experience always been polite and helpful. I have been shopping at John Lewis for years and my experience has been generally good (high-quality products, beautiful way the store is set up to showcase everything, excellent customer service, very pleasant shopping experience). I appreciate that the prices are a little high compared to other places but the quality is very much there and I am happy to pay a little more for good quality items. I have never had to return a product or ask for a refund here. I have not used the website either because I enjoy the in-store shopping experience at John Lewis so much.
It would be better if John Lewis in-store cafes were up to the standards of the rest of their stores. I have stopped at an in-store cafe a couple of times only and the main reason for this is that both times, my visits to the cafe were the most disappointing things (rubbery cakes, cold drinks that arrived warm and prices that struck me as high even for John Lewis).
However, the main reason I go to John Lewis is to shop, not to eat and drink and I accept that the cafe is not the main part of their business. Four stars for very pleasant shopping experience and one star taken off for the not-so-great cafe.

So had the pleasure of shopping here today.Went in for some inspiration of having a change round in the house and came out with a new floor lamp which to say it looks different is putting it mildly . Normally my wife and me never agree on what we like in terms of buying things for the home.

I only have good things to say about John Lewis. Everything is so easy with them. From placing an order to delivery to returns, the process is so easy. I mostly choose click&collect, but I needed something next day so I have payed the amount for next day delivery. The courier was not professional at all and they took a picture of a bus stop with the comment: client was not home. You can imagine I was beyond angry at that point because I was home. Trying to solve the issue with the courier company and they did nothing so I called John Lewis customer service. They were really, really helpfull. Not only they investigated the situation, but they offered to return my money for delivery. I was supposed to call them back next day so I can have my money back, but I forgot. So they called me.

I have shopped with John Lewis countless times both in-store and online. I have bought things for the home, electronics, food, toys and clothes and have usually been happy with the items and the service.
When I have needed to return an item it has been straight forward both by post and in-store except for a time when a Partner made a mistake, but we all make mistakes, so I'm not going to hold it against them.
I did buy a Bosch washing machine from John Lewis that I am not happy with but the service from John Lewis was okay.
I absolutely love John Lewis products, always good quality and lovely styles. Usually a bit more pricey but the sales they have on are incredible and I'm always have a look on their website to see what bargains I can nab! Delivery has always been prompt and I've never had to send back a product.

I’ve found that the Customer Service has been excellent, I have had to call on an update on my order and the response was polite, professional and attended to my query 100%. This has always been the standard that other stores try to achieve but John Lewis does it every time.
I bought an ipad and it was really good because of its cost. The delivery was extremely fast and the guarantee was 2 years and apple's is 1 year. The customer support is also really good so I would 100% reccomend John Lewis because I also usually shop here as the prices are great.
Don't be put off by it's high-end reputation. They always have a few items in the lower end, and their "never knowingly undersold" pledge means the prices are actually always good - it's just they choose to concentrate on the high end stuff.
Of course, if can afford the more pricey stuff even better.
Also the thing I like about John Lewis is that their clearance sales and "reduced to clear" items are genuine - i.e they don't artificially inflate the prices of items just to then put them down to normal call it a sale.
I've always found their service to be great, and have never had a problem with online services.
Always worth a look if your looking to make a major purchase (by which I mean a TV or white goods etc), just to see if they have a bargain in your price range.
During lockdown had to return a broken item, John Lewis were able to sort this out over the phone and I received a brand new item. All was done easily and very efficiently. The customer service team were very helpful in sorting this issue out for me during lockdown. I would definitely recommend John Lewis.
